How to get the proper Support you are seeking

My approach is the following:

I use the "Search" box (the upper right corner). Enter keyword/key-phrase than hit "Enter" (or CR, Return). Very much like in Google search. If there is anything in the database resembling the keyword(s), you'll get a result.
If the list is too long, you can narrow the search, inspired by one title or another found in the results page.
If nothing comes out, then go to the main page and pick the nearest category that fits to whatever you want to post. You need some time to get used to the structure, but this is what happens with any forum over time. Articles and replys are added every day so there's a lot of stuff here to look for.

Generally speaking:
1. Go to Forum Index.
2. Look for a Category that has the closest match to your needs. Read the description as it might help you decide.
3. After picking the category, look for the list of posts (articles). If you find anything resembling what you are interested in, than go to the upper right corner and hit the "New Topic" button.
You'll be presented with a page containing the article (post) editor.

It's too harsh to say that. I have some over 20 years on Linux (various distros) and some 6 years on Linux Lite and I still consider myself "ignorant". Everybody is ignorant at some point.

The only way I could help here, is what I just described before that I do. Takes some patience, though...

Well, everybody has problems. Life nowadays, becomes more and more challenging. Some people, struggle with lots of problems, some others, struggle to meet ends.
In that landscape, some see Linux Lite, as some kind of Heaven, where things are like in "The Garden of Eden".
For me at least, sometimes this is the case. Sometimes, we lack the energy to answer questions. Just be patient. Search the net, maybe you'll find an answer. I found many Linux related answers in the Arch Wiki. It's a very extensive support Encyclopedia, I might say. Try that, if nothing comes in handy here and, again, be patient.

I have been on this Forum for three years. I never had the chance to see "smart ass responses". Even if someone tries this approach, it's highly likely that the post will be deleted or at best, the member warned to change his attitude.
We are here to help each other and playing "the smart ass" has nothing to do with the term "help".

About posting questions

Honestly speaking, my first year here, seemed to me like a nightmare! So many categories, so many posts! Where was I supposed to look for what I needed?!
In time I got used with the structure.
And even if this looks like taking too much time, here is an approach that will work:

"Hi, guys!
I'm very confused about where to place my post so here it is. Please, help me and place (move) this post where you find it appropriate, if you find that here is off-topic.
"

With this approach, I'm sure one of the Moderators will move and explain you where he placed the post and why. Maybe even give you some hints on where to search for the appropriate section in the future.

I will end this post with a quote from one of Jerry's posts:

Once you've posted the images correctly, we'll be able to assist you. Cheers. Regarding your Printer make and model, this link https://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?t=254412 offers a solution.

This is the article Jerry refers to:

With those being said, I wish you a pleasant journey into the realm of Linux Lite!
