Being new to this, there are 2 version SpaceFM(gtk2) and SpaceFM-gtk3
Which is most compatible to LL2, and least impact.?

I think you can safely try the gtk3 version, as that's what's in the Ubuntu 14.04 base of LL2.

If you have problems, you can always uninstall it and install the gtk2 version.
