[SOLVED] Suggestion - LXDE Build of Linux Lite
#11
Hello!

LL 'is what it is' for a reason, but I really like LXDE, also. LXDE uses Openbox Configuration Manager, which I also see as more easily customizable. However, To use LXDE in LL would require a distro-changing rewrite - one that will probably never happen. WAY too much work. Except for Lubuntu (no OpenOffice) and LXPup (VERY little of ANYTHING included, AND a REAL pain to add things to), all the other LXDE-based distros (LXLE, Peppermint, etc.) are slower LiveCDs and installs than LL is.

One day, I'd like to see LL become a DE all its own - one that will 'play nice' alongside other Ubuntu DEs, like LXDE and MATE. I also like MATE a lot, but not enough to switch to it, unless it will 'play nicer' with UEFI than LL seems to. MATE seems a bit sluggish to me.

To me, it's a hassle to even go as far as customizing LL to get the 'look' it had in 1.0.8. Easier for me to just leave everything be...
