clamav and freshclam update failures

I remember having this issue a while ago and can't exactly remember but I don't think ever managed to solve it, I just stopped trying and decided not to use any AV software in Linux,  so far haven't had any virus/malware scenarios. Thank you, Moltke, for the suggestion but, sadly, it didn't work out in my case.
