Kernel 5.1

Ever since installing kernel 5.1 when I suspend my laptop and log back in with my password my keyboard goes dead and I have to use the System Information tool to refresh my devices so that it works again and there was a huge lag on bootup after installing the 5.1 kernel (which has somewhat been remedied by updates and maintenance with the Lite Tweaks tool. I have tried to revert back to the 4.15.xx series kernel but have not been able to. My laptop is a Dell inspiron 17R 5720 with an i7-3612QM CPU @ 2.10GHz (quad-core).

You don't need Kernel 5.1 According to Notebook Review, your laptop is circa 2012. Why did you install it?
