you use the IMG tags to display the image on the forum.

1/ You upload the image to the image host
2/  they give you a link url
3/  you put the link in your forum post and add IMG and /IMG before and after the link url in your forum 
    post, the IMG tags need to be inside square brackets [...] and [/...], where dots are the characters.
4/ then click post

Then your image will appear on the forum post.

The above process it is "hotlinking", it is not the illegal bandwidth theft hotlinking, but it likely was born from utilizing that idea.

Currently I use this image host - https://imgbb.com/
You do not need to join it, do not need to login to it, do not need any account to use it, it is free to use, and free of adverts, it is clean and tidy lines/layout, and so is very fast loading and processing in the browser.
