I ask because Windows 10 on newer Dells is integrated into some Dell setup utility functions. (some options won't even appear unless you make changes in Windows first) Off the top of my head there are several different things you can try here to get the functioanlity you desire.

1) change the S settings in the setup utility, and disable fast boot from the UI in Windows
2) setup Widows 10 to behave the way you want LL to behave
3) disable updates in Windows 10
4) change the battery saver settings in Windows 10
5) unmount the Windows partition manually after LL boots (it may be mounted and backgrounded whether it says so or not, so mount and then unmount)
6) Whenever you shut down Windows to switch to LL hold the shift key down until the machine goes off.

Try one or all of the above. If you have wiped Windows from the HDD you have probably wiped access to some of the functionality of the Dell setup utility. Good luck.
