Yes I keep my game disk in the drive since I tend to play every day. Why risk scratching my disk with constantly removing it
That's pretty much the only reason I have a dvd drive other than for doing installations lol.
I'm pretty sure all my partitions are NTFS as I am forced to use win 7 for my games. So far it has mounted 3 diff partitions on diff days.
Permissions? I don't know what you mean by this question.
I mount any/all partitions on the HD as needed then unmount when I am done accessing them.
In case you can't tell I am seriously new to the whole linux experience so forgive me if I don't always understand what you are asking/saying. My hubby got me into this and he has no idea why the drives are doing the mount thing.
