A very, very strange thing I must say.
I have done desktop-icons in folders now.
I'm done with it.  :Smile  Distro (2.8 ) besides that is perfect.

Is /home on its own partition? If so, /home is probably shared between LL and PCLOS... PCLOS settings could have overwritten the LL configurations..

/home/ is always on the partition of its OS. A little vulnarable, but I make regular images and live-media of every OS. So the /homes/ don't have to do anything with each other.

No special settings anymore are needed here at this moment.
Icons stay put now.
I have no idea why, but I thought let me say hooray on the forum..!

Nothing beats success even if you don't know why. Congrats. Maybe it's AI? Who could say for sure anyway brother? My guess would be a dirty groups file that finally read down properly. Who knows.
