Converting from Mint to Lite on a HP2000 laptop.
#1
Hi all,

I have a five-year old HP2000 laptop that I converted to Linux Mint. After the success I've had with Lite on a 2006 MacBook, I want to convert the HP2000 to Lite as well. However, I've tried multiple times to load from a DVD and USB and I just cannot get anything to work. I've made the USBs on several tools and nothing is working. I've gone into the BIOS to get the computer to boot a DVD and from a USB and the machine still boots from the hard drive. I know I'm missing something simple but cannot figure out what it is. Any suggestions???

Thanks,
Don

If link posted by penglezos doesn't help and you can still boot into Mint on the machine, do so and post back with output of these commands in a terminal:
Code:
sudo parted --list
inxi -Fxz
