Good Tuesday morning Linux Lite users.
It's been a while and just received the email to check out the new look on the forum page and I must say I like it a lot.  I've been reading about the new Linux Lite Distro a lot in the online tech news and most of it is very positive.
I purchased a new laptop last November during the black Friday Sales that were going on and received my new laptop in December 2023.  It's an HP Pavillion with all of the new stuff and very fast and up to date and so far it's been fun learning the new Windows 11 universe!  I still get out my old Compaq Presario regularly to perform updates and enjoy Linux Lite 5.8 simplicity and just plain fun to use.  I hope someday to get back into Linux on this new laptop but that will take some time learning all of the new hardware and of course it is a bit harder downloading a Linux OS onto the new type of computer hardware.
Take care and God bless Linux Lite

You're still on 5.8?  Any plans to upgrade, or will you be waiting until 5.8 expires in 2025?

I don't have Linux installed on my new laptop, it is on my old Presario and as I have been told Linux Lite 6.0 and up will not run well on my old laptop.  There is much more involved with installing Linux on the newer laptop hardware, UEFI and secure boot plus I'm just not sure if I want to run Linux on this computer.

"Sounds like you're enjoying the new setup and exploring the balance between Windows 11 and Linux Lite! It can definitely take some time to adjust to new hardware, but once you're familiar with it, jumping back into Linux should be a rewarding experience. Best of luck with your journey!"
