Update error Lite 5.8 - Could not get lock

Howdy folks,
This is my first time receiving this checking for updates;  does anyone know what this is?

Some other process is already running.
Either Synaptic or package manger is running - close these..
Could be Lite Update Notifier running - give a few moments and try again...

That is exactly what I did, I won't check for updates at start up again I'll wait a few minutes.  Thanks for info and best regards.
