ISO Initial Boot 4.8
#1
I downloaded and ISO USB prepared v 4.8. Following Grub menu choice, the next screen requires a USER and PASSWORD with an OPTION on top which is worthless. No instructions. I have spent 2 days searching for guidance with every word I can conjure, no results. How are we expected to boot and try or install Linux Lite if it requires user and password on booting the live ISO..?? Thank you.

[member=12285]DamFam[/member] Make sure you are not using some type of multi-boot...

You can find a good deal on the following..

https://www.freecinema2022.gq/forums/release-announcements/linux-lite-4-8-final-released/

Live USB/DVD/VirtualBox/Vmware:
  • Login is automatic, no credentials are required.
  • Yumi, Multiboot and other multi-boot applications are not supported.
  • If the screen locks during Live mode, type linux into the user box and click on the Login button (no password required)

There is more on creating a LiveUSB in the above, another resource is the Manual (Live USB using Windows - scroll for other)

If these dont work - reply back with a bit more on your process - i.e how your creating the LiveUSB, what is the current installed OS, BIOS/UEFI enabled etc..
