I have about 90 systems, from windows 95 to windows 10, a apple section, and a linux section.
At 72 this keeps me busy. I like strange cases and strange software. I can fix or update a case easy but do not understand software easy.

You mean to learn software the hard way but once you get hold of it, you are able to do stuff?

Only small items. I have the 3rd system I bought and it came with win 98. the bios only would allow 256kb ram,I changed the bios to allow 512kb. Then when the factory sent win ME on a ghost like cd, it would not load because the bios changed, so step by step I got it to load ok.Win ME at the time had many problems but now I have win ME perfect, all fails gone, I got that I did not do that.

You mean to have a history of struggle with computer hardware in general, from the do-it-yourself standpoint?

Its all fun to play with. Sometimes a long online search can find a fix, like the Apple systems I have are all very old, before Apple went to intel style motherboards, but I found a linux made just for those, dual choice at start up, and someone that made a web browser just for these old systems to get online way better.
The upside down flower pot systems are fun to play with and look at.
