Linux Lite  4.4 > test_updates Stright up
It might be confusing for the build for the next LL having Test_Updates.
Have a good one.  Back to the translations at Launchpad  8)  8)  8)

And where exactly in the post am I suggesting LL team should do that? LL uses xfce as desktop, 4.12 which is the current version and new version, xfce 4.14 is released today, end of the  story. It shouldn't be that difficult to understand. If you see something where there's nothing that's entirely up to you.

You didn't.. . The new build test updates which i get and bench my processor. . [which is hardware only] .  Its Linux Lite by its self. This gives the build- the ability to see how the hardware reacts to different [test build updates], which reacts differently from one processor and motherboard to another. Nothing implied or suggested..
I have XFCE on two other Linux Platforms as a DE I like the sleek design of the Desktop Environment. Not the flashy KDE look which I have on another Linux Platform.
My self I do prefer the XFCE look. One as you are correct LL. I Have not changed much on LL since the install except the kernel.  LL is the only platform that I accept test updates on.  I have 6 different Linux Platforms. LL is the favorite of all of them being fast, light weight, I started with LL 2.2. Nothing confusing on this end, not updating XFCE in the middle of a build of the new LL- OS . May not make any difference ..It does to me..
Enjoy your new XFCE.  Smile  Wink  Big Grin  ;D  8)

I like XFCE too, it's been my choice of desktop for every distro I've tried. I'm not much of  fan of kde either, that being said I do like krunner capabilities though and it'd be great having something similar in xfce. I use cerebro in an attempt to have some "krunner-like" features but the breach is still enormous. Interesting set up that of yours and for the record, I did consider posting this in the "off topic" section but then I thougt "well, LL uses xfce so I guess is ok if I post it in on topic", so you might be right but I think I'm right too.  Tongue

cheers! Smile

I agree about the KDE Well put I have had some issues with KDE years ago. Like the the resent post from [member=7250]kissbaby3[/member] .  I checked my KDE platform and I have the backport repository which already included the the security fix, which has nothing to do with LL. You Made a Good Choice this is about LL and XFCE. This Post does belong right here where it is.  Could you Post how to install the new XFCE ? I do not do very well on the terminal . I might give it a try.
  Best Wishes  Smile  8)

I haven't tried it...yet. In fact, I've never built it on my own, I was simply "spreading the news" not that I have tried it or anything of the sort, however, if you feel like trying you can download it from here http://archive.xfce.org/xfce/4.14/ and here are the instructions for building: https://docs.xfce.org/xfce/building If you do consider building xfce we could share here in this post and help each other in doing so, since like I said I've never done it so I could use a hand Smile

cheers!

How do you determine what version of XFCE you have installed on LL?
