looking for a new Printer/scanner , i need a list, i am on a budget, please help

tax time around the corner, looking for a new printer, scanner(all in one).
that uses separate cartridges, black cartridge, one cartridge for each color cartridge.
total  number of cartridges "4".
why ?, because if you run out of one of the 3 colors that are in one cartridge , it becomes a head ache.

my budget $$$ ,is 100.00 dollars or less, plus i hoe the cartridges are refillable , i actually done that before, in years past.

i am using linux lite 4.2.

Stick with HP, hands down the best Linux support. Others may be able to recommend a specific model.

The HP Officejet printers are good. The one I'm currently using is the 4500. Meets your specs and works great with Lite 3.8 and 4.2. I haven't checked if that model is still current but if not, there should be an equal that's replaced it.
