Need ROOT acces to install printer

Hi evryone,

i am a newby to Linux.
I like Linux Lite 3.8 a lot but cant print documents.

I have a Canon LPB5050 USB an trying to install this.
Hereby i need root acces to use this command
Code:
/usr/sbin/ccpdadmin -p LBP5050 -o /dev/usb/lp0

How do i gain root acces ?
SU - needs a password

Hi [member=8071]vectra246[/member] , when you installed the OS you would have been automatically added to the "sudo" group, so to give an admin command just use sudo in front of the command and then when it asks, enter your password:

Now my printer stil isnt working Sad
I think i buy a new one.
Any suggestion for a working all in one printer on linux lite?

HP! Make sure the model is approx. 6 months old first to allow for driver compatibility.

Yup. Should work ootb on LL 4.x Then just install the hplip-gui package after set up.

Yep, i can print to the HP but cant install HPlip Sad

Hplip is already installed, no need to install it again.
