MS already is a substantial user of github so not much of a surprise, but still kinda sad in some ways.

If the sale goes through, we won't be hosting anymore code on Github.

Is there code already there which they can get their grubby littles on? Or can it be removed, or what?

Divide and conquer? I was agreeing with you all the way until I though about how many distros there already are, but I guess you spoke of sharing in general...
Also, I havent really been on it a lot but the site seemed to host lots of different things for all OSes, could be they just wanted something "specific" on there that they won't mention publicly... oooh a conspiracy theory!
. It could pay off for MS but let's hope it's just water in the eyes.
PS : Funny how we speak of the site in the past tence already ...
