Alt + F key from Desktop - Mini Tutorial

Hello,

Alt and F Key combo's from Desktop -

1/ another way to take a screenshot without using a mouse -

Hold down Alt press F1
Press upwards arrow x7 times
Press enter
Use up/down arrows to select type of screenshot
Press enter
Press up/down arrows to select action (save)
Press enter
Type your screenshot name
Press enter

1b/ If you already have used screenshot previously and have it set to save the screen area you want in its default, and dont mind the default screenshot name you can do -

Hold Alt Press F1
up arrow x7 taps
enter, enter, enter, enter

Practice your key stroke times, do it ...blindfolded, show your friends.

2/ Another way to use your menu -

Hold down Alt and press F2
Type in program name OR press down arrow to see your menu
Navigate up down right pane using up/down arrows
Navigate the programs in that category using right arrow, then up/down arrows.
To change to a different category press left arrow, then up down/arrows.
Press enter to select a program to open.

2b/ Save your fingers - Hold down Alt and press F3 to see your menu straight away.

3/ Hold down Alt and press F4 to open the Log Out screen
Use arrow keys to choose your option.
Press enter.

Been using LL for a while now and I've never found a basic keystroke bibliography like the one that appears when Ubuntu is started. If one exists for LL it should be included in the help manual. A lot of nix key combinations work but new users and users coming from Windows would have no way of knowing what works and what doesn't. I think it should be in the help manual somewhere. Haven't found it yet. If I missed it perhaps you know where it is.

Duh. I need more coffee. Thanks Jerry. I tried searching the help manual for "key strokes" and nothing came up. Maybe should add a link? Most people call them keyboard shortcuts or key strokes.

Ooops tried "keyboard shortcuts" search term and it came up. I'm going for coffee now.

I ran this beta in Oracle and in gnome-boxes and it is faster on my slower old Dell in gnome-boxes than Oracle on my faster newer HP. 4gmem compared to 8gmem. For most people for testing boxes may be the way to go I guess from Ubu or Deb. Honestly there is no lag at all even with all the ads. It fetches my e-mail faster from the web than the base Ubu LTS that it's running in.
