2 days to go
#1
Hello,

fishing season begins in 2 days, does anyone like fishing ?

Last year I caught no fish, I did catch weeds on the bottom, or junk, once a small piece of car tyre  :-\ , just as a boat was passing and he insisted on telling me there were bigger ones like that in there.
Last year I began fishing, I do lure fishing, and 1 time also tried a type of lure fishing called drop shot fishing, although I think I was doing drop shot wrong after later watching videos on it, hooks and lures too big. So I have smaller ones for drop shotting to try this year.
I began late in the summer, I went 5 times in total so far.

Life on earth is expensive but it does include a free trip around the sun.

For me it's not so much about catching anything as it is about being outdoors on the water with someone you care about, or just good friendship time.  Anything you catch is a bonus!

I used to do a lot more ocean fishing (snapper, dolphin, mackerel, etc) than I do now.  Now it's fresh water stuff, when I get the chance, but it isn't as often as it used to be.  Everyone else around here either plays golf or video games!  But there's some great fishing and hunting around here.

[member=3473]TMG1961[/member] that sounds nice dogs are good and loyal friends Smile , I like them.
Lure fishing and drop shotting in freshwater is very mobile, you don't sit down and fish this way, you walk mostly and only stop for short times. You use very lightweight kit. I'll try and find some example videos to add. Smile

[member=6925]RandomBoy[/member] you have a great attitude Smile , when I go fishing and don't catch anything I also still come home very happy, I like being near the water, watching the little fish, insects, and the birds.
I went urban fishing it's canals, there are lots of canals.
They also manage some lakes not too far from here, I didn't get to go last year as I started fishing later in the season.

Yes a lot play video games here too, my cousins wife is obsessed with games, he is too, they are well suited in many ways.
Sports are popular too.
Fishing, numbers wise, is officially the most popular participant sport in this country  Smile

[member=411]bitsnpcs[/member] I have seen people do Lure fishing when i was on holiday in Scotland and England 15 years ago. If i would do it that would be my way of fishing. I dont like to sit still at the water and wait. Did also do a lot of fishing when i was in the Dutch Navy 30 years ago. Did some time on a ship that made seacharts and from time to time we stopped, got our fishing equipment out and started fishing. Best tasting fish ever, within minutes fro the ocan to your plate.

Malinois are nice dogs, I had seen one on the series "Person of Interest" and didn't know what it was, so I had read a little bit about them.
