Hi,
Not familiar with the Yoga BIOS,
But on my HP Netbook which also uses mmc disk, I have "2 places" to set the "boot disk", 1 in the disk priority in the main bios,
and another, in my case a F9 "Boot Disk" selection with only 2 options "EFI File" or "Hard Disk"
May not be the same for you, but worth checking...

Thanks for responding.
The MMC Disk is detected in the first page of the BIOS ie Summary Page. However, on subsequent pages eg ones with boot order its not detected. This is the case whether I have it set to UEFI or Legacy modes, even after saving, reboot and going back into the BIOS. The only options regarding boot order are from the Ethernet or the USB Stick. I do not have this issue if I install a different distro that supports UEFI on the the laptop.

Just re-checked my Netbook...
In the BIOS section I have:
- Legacy Support Enabled
- Secure Boot Disabled
Then I have in the Legacy Boot Order:
1. USB Key/Disk
2. Notebook Hard Disk
Maybe somebody else will have some ideas
