Hi Everyone
#1
I'm not completely new to Linux, I run a different distro on my main (newer) computer, but I've only been doing that for about 6 months so I'm still a noob.

Now I'm looking for a distro to salvage my old Pentium 4, XP machine and after trying the Live version of a few 'lite' distro's I've settled on Linux Lite. I've got an evening of fun ahead of me as I format Windows off my drive (that's always a good time lol) and install Linux Lite  Smile

Welcome to the forum, It seems a bit quite here atm but I'm sure everyone will help you feel at home here as they have done for me. As for switching to LL I believe you won't regret it. I been hopping around others as well and I keep coming back to LL.

Any question just ask, Oh btw the typing help in the main menu (whiskers menu) opens an awesome help menu like a windows 10 theme. It helped out a quite a bit for me. The forums filled with info as well.

I'v been bashing Windows way before Microsoft.....

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. The install went without a hitch, I opted to dualboot for now until I'm positive I don't need XP to run any of my old programs/games.

I've already made use of the forum getting help with an error when running 'Updates' for the first time. The fix was simple and worked great.

Now I'm just test driving everything getting a feel for LL (so far very good.)

Just want to add how grateful I am to all those who work on developing GNU/Linux, without them this old computer would be in the electronics recycle bin.
