Remove Items From Panel Description
#1
Hello All,
Apologies if this is mentioned elsewhere & I've missed it.

I've had a couple of people query me about the wording of the message when you go to remove something from the Panel.
"Are you sure you want to remove "XXX Plugin"?
"If you remove the item from the Panel, it is permanently lost"

I'm getting questions like this below from people who aren't computer savvy & have recently moved to LL.
"These keep coming up when I click Remove on icons in the panel - doesn't mean the program/plugin/launcher does it?  If I want to put the icon back in there I still can??"

Once explained the program/plugin won't be lost all is well, but to simplify this for LL newbies perhaps change the "it is permanently lost" to something else?
"the plugin can be re added to the Panel if necessary"
Or something along those lines....little things like that that help people who aren't computer savvy go a long way.
Cheers

This is most likely something that will need to be handled by the developers of Xfce, suggestions for Xfce are submitted through their bug tracker at the following link.
https://bugzilla.xfce.org/request.cgi

Hope that helps Smile

Yep that helps, thanks Avj  8)

Fiddling with things like I always do if I'm curious about something I found where it reads the text for the message box from...well I think I did, lol.
libxfce4panel-1.0.so.4.0.0 & libxfce4panel-2.0.so.4.0.0 seem to be where the message resides.
Can change that text but it breaks the panel & it won't start after that until I put the 2 original files back  Tongue
