Can't get Flash to work in Chromium
#1

I have tried installing flash in chromium  through install/remove software but without success.

BBC i Player tells me I need to install Adobe Flash player whereas ITV player tells me I need to update Flash player, so neither player will work in Chromium, yet both work flawlessly in Firefox.

I know I could use Firefox just for these but as everything previously worked flawlessly in Chrome (32bit Linux) I would expect to be able to achieve the same result in Chromium.

Any help or advise in achieving my goal would be very much appreciated

Installed Pepper Flash as suggested but unfortunately I get exactly the same results as I did after installing Adobe Flash player

Chromium has a preferences section that needs flash adjustment. You probably have both loaded now.

Mine is set:

I may be mistaken, but I think it is preferred that chromium be installed from Lite Software.

I have now resolved the problem by completely uninstalling Chromium, rebooting, and then re-installing Chromium and now everything seems to be working just fine. No idea what caused the original problem but, as they say,  all's well that ends well.

Many thanks to everyone that offered assistance
