Hello and system req for Lite
#1
Hello Lite community. I am (soon to be 'was') a Windows user and is new to Linux.
I just found out about Lite on DistroWatch a couple hours ago. I've checked the Help Manual but couldn't find an answer to the first question I have. It's this:

Will Lite run on my old computer?
Pentium 4, 3.06 GHz
System model: D915GAV_
32 bit
came with 2GB RAM, I upgraded that to 4GB with only 3.something available for use.
It has XP Professional

I don't want to dual boot. I just want to run Lite only.  if this is not the place to post, please let me know.

Thank you antenor  Smile.

I wonder if anyone can help with this question.

I have 1TB of harddisk space and would like to have my /home in a separate partition than /

Are there any clear, non-techie, step by step instructions I can access anywhere to follow? Remember I am a Linux newbie and as I said before, I am not dual booting, I am replacing XP completely.

Yes and it actually preferred for future upgrades...

You would create a separate partition and name accordingly and mount it etc..., but I'll see if I can find something that explains and update...
