Hello, brettwiley. We don't support other DE's.
What little free time we do have, has to be supporting what we offer out-of-the-box. If you want to take Linux Lite and turn it into something else, that is something you'll have to research outside of our Support networks. Perhaps look for a tutorial on installing Mate on Ubuntu 12.04, it should be similar. Thank you.

Sorry for jumping in...
I was going to post a question on a similar topic...
I'm sure I wasn't dreaming,
I'm sure when I was exploring LinuxLite I found an option to select from a certain look, not a new DE, just some subtle changes
one I remember was Redmond... But I just can't find this option to change anywhere now..
Maybe it's related to the other issue I posted, and disappeared due to my language change.?
Any pointers welcome.
Thanks... David

Hello!
Although Search will find almost ANYTHING, it's mainly about keeping the information shared here organized in an orderly fashion.
This part of the thread may eventually be split off into a thread of its own in another area, but nonetheless, here's your answer: I believe that Menu > Settings > Appearance will allow you to select the Redmond theme...

I love the Redmond theme. Things seem to be speedier with it.
