Been testing this browser for some time now. Approximately 7-10 days ago the shortcut to www.freecinema2022.gq broke. So removed it and tried to install a new one and since then Midori can't load the Lite forum page. That's like telling me no coffee in the morning...not gonna fly too well. Have changed all the settings around in Preferences 3-4 times...still no joy. Was planning on switching over completely from Chromium, that's not happening now.
Can anyone, please, point me in the right direction in finding a solution?
In the FAQ's found this: HTTPS URLS won't load
That's a problem with WebKit. You can work around it to some extent if you start Midori like so:
export WEBKIT_IGNORE_SSL_ERRORS="1" midori...any idea where to install this? Thanks in advance.

Funny thing you made this post, rbdflyboy. I was just about to do the same thing.
Have been testing LL 2.2 Beta on an old system and installed Midori because Firefox was hogging the limited memory on the machine. Midori works fine for any of the other sites that I've visited with it, but pops up this error on the LL forums:
Midori works on the LL homepage, but not on the forums page. Firefox on same system does not have that problem. I'm posting from that machine using Firefox right now.
Unfortunately, I haven't been able to figure out how to solve this yet. If anyone else has a clue, please let us know.
P.s. It doesn't seem to have same problem on other https sites.

Yes, gold_finger, have all the same exact issues. Would really appreciate getting this solved. It is the single issue that prevents me from permanently switching browsers.

It might be an issue with the forum software not recognizing Midori properly -- I don't know. From that machine, Firefox works on forum site, but not Midori.

Yes -- I did mean to post it there. Strange place for it I know, but they had briefly detoured onto subject of recipes, so I made quick post about a recipe program I use for bitsnpics, who I thought might want to have a look at it.

Some of these Forums quirks did not exist before we started using a CDN. Having the CDN has been of huge benefit as this chart shows in the last 10 days alone, over a year the savings in bandwidth would be staggering:
Would recommend you load the forums with http instead of https. There are not many forums that use SSL including some of the top distros like Mint and Ubuntu (surprisingly). Here at LL it's a bit of a treat tbh

I'm using the latest version of midori strait from the PPA
Code: sudo apt-add-repository ppa:midori/ppa && sudo apt-get update -qq && sudo apt-get install midori
Problem is not with SSL because midori loads google.com and facebook with encrypted connection
https://www.google.com and https://www.facebook.com/ load fine
Probably CDN issue, or with SSL certificates
As for the forums page It displays it doesn't with http

Yes as gold_finger replied.
The "Quote issue", for this post I tried - "reply" button and then pressed "insert quote" to the right of your post in the main reply editor window, and it doesn't jump to the quick reply box, so is a work around to use the main reply editor and also quote previous posts, if it helps.
