Music Player Poll - Select your favorite player
#1
I'd like to see what music players people are using in the community on Linux Lite. If I've missed any please let me know and I'll add them here.

I voted vlc as I use that for mp3.
I also use QMPlay2 for music via its listed radio stations, and for music video as it is often easier to browse music videos to find music I may enjoy.

Vlc hardly gets touched by me except for maybe webcam test usage.
But I am old school. Old as the hills and twice as dusty.
And if you look at my Desktop computers in the 2.2 thread. They are old and dusty also.
So necessity teaches me minimalism.

Since my first version of Linux Lite came with VLC, I like it and stuck with it for music and videos.

I also use Radio Tray to listen to internet radio. Mostly Blues 8) because there are no on air blues stations around here. Just a couple of hours of blues when I am not listening to the radio.

I often have to use the VLC to get the link for Radio Tray.

I used Rhythmbox when I was on Ubuntu a couple years ago, when Canonical dumped Banshee as the official media player in Ubuntu 12.04 LTS. Rhythmbox I think is garbage, and buggy. I had used Banshee before then, in Ubuntu 11.04 and 11.10 but its interface is very clunky and only looks good if your music has actual album art in it, which most of my collection does not, not to mention serious bugginess. My most used media player at the moment on every platform I touch is no doubt, VLC Media Player. Sometimes, I fire up Clementine if I want to listen to radio streams through the Icecast Radio Directory and also through SKY.FM (Now RadioTunes) and Dubplate.FM, though VLC can do that too, it's just Clementine offers better visualizations (ProjectM is my favorite) and a more reliable equalizer to really fine tune your bass, midrange and treble.

I chose Clementine because it is my favorite music player. It would be different if I was asked "What is your favorite media player?", then my vote would go to VLC as the best all-rounder.

I also assumed poll was just for "music" player and not for "media" player.  Just in case, I'll qualify my vote too.

Music Player = Audacious

Media Player = VLC

However, I've spoken to the Tomahawk devs and they are currently working on a Graphic Equaliser, if that development is successfulI MAY switch?!

I use Vlc, Radio Tray, Minitube [ when a distro compiles it well and has no bugs]
& gtk tube viewer if available with smplayer.

VLC and minitube or gtk tube viewer  are the main ones I use
SPOTIFY! I love this,,,
