So about like 5 months back, I used linux lite, before switching to another OS. When I first installed it, software such as wine or CPU frequency thing came with it. NOW however, Neither did, despite me checking the third party software box, during the installation process. Any idea on how I can fix this? I want wine already setup since im bad at this linux thing.

Before linux lite was basically plug and use for me, now I have to find a cpu freq manager myself and install it.

Perhaps you installed a different LL series; but if I recall Wine is not part of any of the out of the box install, but is very easily installed through "Lite Software" as are several other 'Most Wanted' applications...
As for CPU - can you explain what itr was prior?
LL has 'Task Manager' built in or there is the Lite Widget that sits on the desktop - Both show CPU/Memory...

I dug a little deeper on CPUFREQ -- BUT yes it is installed by default.
You should be able to get to from Settings (may be Control Panel) - I'm on LL4.8
Go to PANEL - Items - Click a + on right side... Search for CPU and you can add to the panel/taskbar
