In my former life (windows7) i used Adobe Digital Editions.  As this is not compatible with Linux Lite 2, what do I do now? June

Calibre is excellent. Open a terminal and do:

Code:
sudo apt-get install calibre

if you just want to read ebooks and no more (edit, merge, etc), consider a FF add-on, epubreader.

Valtam:  Have tried many times to get Calibre to work.  Have got this far - Send to Device:  Could not upload the following book to the device as no suitable formats were found.  Convert the book to a format supported by your device.

Convert Books  button:  Could not convert 1 of 1 books because no supported source formats were found (available formats; acsm).Have read most everything in Calibre but see no solution.  Any advice for me before I give up?

Hi June, take a look at this video, it is a very good overall guide - http://calibre-ebook.com/demo

The video you recommend is excellent, however, still not working for me as no supported source formats were found.  Perhaps the problem is that I am trying to work with books from the local regional library which are offered in an ePub format.  Sorry, but I am giving up for now.  Have more pressing problem with printer.

thank you both for your input.

June, is your device listed in Calibre?

Valtam:

I do remember reading somewhere that Kobo was listed in Calibre, except for the Aura version. Thought I would try it anyway.

Doing some more reading leads me to suspect that the problem is that public library books are covered by DRM which, of course, is incompatible with Calibre.

Thank you for taking an interest and spending time on my problem.
