Install Pinguybuilder (to backup full system)
#1
Hello,

I would like to install deb package Pinguy Builder 5.1 and get message telling than "aufs-tools" and "unionfs-fuse" are missing.

Using "system install/remove software" doesn't help.

Any idea and comment welcomed.

Thanks in advance.

Hi [member=6829]Paul74[/member]  Well, running
Code:
$ apt search aufs-tools
and
Code:
$ apt search unionfs-fuse
shows they're available for install, so you might try that
Code:
$ sudo apt-get install aufs-tools unionfs-fuse
Also, if you're more confortable with a graphical approach then by all means open synaptic and look for them. You might as well want to read here http://aufs.sourceforge.net/ and here https://github.com/rpodgorny/unionfs-fuse  You should also check the pinguy forum https://forum.pinguyos.com/Forum-Pinguy-Builder--93 and ask for assistance there too.

Hope this helps! Smile
Cheers!

Thanks to Moltke for the fast reply,

But it seems that aufs-tools and unionfs-tools are not in Synaptic pakage.
I  downloaded Pinguy-OS and will try it using USB key to  boot and run a back-up on LinuxLite installed on  my SSD.

I will do that during the week-end as I have planty of ouside tasks before the cold weather happens.

You should contact the developer for 3rd party software support Paul.

I prefer to use Redo Bazckup, easiest to use and no problem to restore if necessary.

I would like to close this subject.
