I found a mistake in the recycle bin icon in linuxlite 4.0 it isn't the recycle bin applet but rather a launcher or shortcut to it it is clear because
1- you cant drag-drop stuff into it
2- you can't right click to empty it
3- there is no difference in the icon when there is stuff in it (its always green should be red when stuff is inside)
The fix to this is to right-click your desktop choose desktop setting > icons> tick the trash and it will show on your desktop
not that big of mistake but I really hope it to be fixed in the original disk the 3 points I wrote above are really important for everyday use and to maintain simplicity
Just Installed Linux lite??? check

Why are you calling this a build mistake??? If you had read the Release Announcement, you'd know exactly it's purpose. And why is this in Security and Bug Fixes?

I'm not sure what is going on here and have no wish to get involved in flame wars, but, if the intention is to encourage windows users to move to a linux version which replicates windows as near as possible, then why not have a desktop recycle bin which can be drag and drop? Maybe I'm a bit thick and mostly use the distro as provided, so I'm guessing that the problem is to do with maintaining a standard icon set. I'd be happy just to know that is the case.
Relax and cheer up everybody.
1) Lenovo T520 i5 LL3.8 8GB ram, fast & stable
2) Medion P4 32bit LL3.8 1GB ram, quite fast & stable
3) eeePC 901 32bit LL3.8 1GB ram, fast & stable
4) eeePC 701 32bit LL3.8 1GB ram, slower & stable but small and light enough to travel with me to New Zealand when visiting family in Blenheim.

[member=296]justme2[/member] the point here is to have people read information accurately, and to not make assumptions. By even providing all those desktop icons, we're already doing Win users a service.

That also does not imply that the recycle bin icon does not behave normally, hence MohamedKhaled's confusion.
OK, as I said, I'm not getting into flame wars of any sort and just realised it does not affect me anyway, as all but one of my machines are 32bit so will be retaining LL3.8
Just to satisfy myself I went back and re-booted 3.8 and found recycle bin is drag and drop so I'm sorted.
Thanks for making LL3, I'm disappointed I can't move to LL4 but that is my problem.

[member=296]justme2[/member] it seems you just don't get it, you're focusing on what you want to focus on, instead of what has been written.
