installed 2.0 and will not reboot
#1
i installed 2.0 after using the live CD to verify that my dell laptop would run the software with no issues, I then proceeded to install 2.0 next to the windows 7 installation. once it completed the installation process it asked if i wanted to continue testing or reboot, i selected reboot and it ejected the CD, i pushed the tray back in, the screen has the picture of a feather and a bar on the bottom that continued to move, i tried hitting the enter key like i have in the past for getting out of the live CD, the screen stays on the picture of the feather and the bar on the bottom continues to fill up, after 20 minutes it is still there. is this a normal thing on reboot, should i have selected continue testing and then shut down the normal way? is this a bug in the installer like the screen freezing if you select encrypt the home drive at install?

Hi Hardball45,

Quote: is this a normal thing on reboot
It's not normal but it does happen to me occasionally. When it happens I just do a force power down by pressing and holding the power key until the machine turns off. Fortunately, it has never caused a problem. The machine boots normally and powers down successfully on the next on/off cycle.

This is the way I do it. And I make sure to pick shutdown, not reboot after a fresh installation. I can't say if this method works any better but it may because I experience the problem so seldom.
