Location of software programmes on Live USB stick
#1
I have just installed version 3.8 on a 16G Toshiba USB drive with 4G of persistence.

When I look in my Documents folder it shows I have only 2.4G of persistence available.
Is this because I have installed additional software - eg: Spotify?

If so is there a way for such additional programmes to be installed in the remaining space on the "non persistent" area of the drive?

No replies so perhaps this question has been answered 100X elsewhere? or its just a stupid question?  Either way I would appreciate some feedback.

Hello Ironfighter,

the following link explains how the usb with persistence for 32 Bit Linux is limited to a size of 4Gb total.
It also explains how to increase the available/usable space on the USB by creating a partition, like you wish to do.
