Is My Version 64 bit?
#1
I installed LL awhile back on an old hard drive, just to check it out. I don't remember if it was 32 or 64 bit. Recently, I decided I really liked it, and cloned that disk to a newer one. The version I had was 3.4, so I upgraded to 3.8, the latest. That went smoothly.

During registration for this forum, I had to specify my version of LL. It was pre-filled in as 32 bit. I checked the system info app, which said it is (X86_64), which kind of of confused me.

So, which version do I have?

Thanks,

Hello mdiemer,

you have 64Bit LL OS.
The forum setting of 32 Bit and some other settings are using default parameters as examples, you can change these by clicking at the top of the forum page "Profile" a menu drops down from this choose "Forum profile".
Change the drop down box using the selector from 32 bit to 64 bit and click "Save" at the bottom of the profile page to confirm the changes made.

Wow btsnpcs, you're all over it! Thanks again, I'll change it to 64 bits in my profile, with a sigh of relief. Didn't want to have to reinstall!
