Currently have LL installed on a dual boot drive beside Windows 7. After looking at the Libre Office Apps they seem to be compatible with MS Office. So I'm curious of how many have completely eliminated their Windows partition and only use LL. In my case I have other Windows machines if I am forced or need it for an unsupported application. Happy to hear your thoughts.

Thanks for this. You answered one important question and that there is no difference in performance. I have another post asking about performance, because I really am not getting as much as I thought I would get using LL. Hoping eliminating Windows would help. Thanks

Heya!
Also check if some proprietary drivers are available for your system.
Different drivers on network and video can make a world of differences.

I completely eliminated Windows from my laptop back in 2013. Since then, I've built two desktops that I regularly use. One has never had Windows installed, while the other was set up as a dual boot with Windows 7, just in case. About six months ago I decided I had no need to maintain a Windows partition and haven't missed it. LibreOffice has handled all my document and spreadsheet needs for years now. Most people I deal with in the business world have no idea I'm using Linux.
I've helped three other people convert to Linux Lite and eliminate Windows. I would encourage you to give it a go!

LoL, I would but my job is mainly supporting people with M$ software, so doing so would be shooting myself in the foot... or the wallet.
I do voluntary work though and all computers are reinstalled using Linux, for all the good reasons you already know.
Cheers!
