Firefox 57 release
#1
Any ideas of when Firefox 57 will be available by Lite Install Updates or Synaptic?

I gave the Mozilla Build of Firefox a try and uninstalled the Ubuntu add on which not enabled. Maybe a little improvement. I decided to stop wasting time trying different browser. I guess I was doing it over loyalty or nostalgia to Mozilla and Netscape. I am getting use to Chrome and it just works. Maybe when the new improved Firefox 57 Quantum on Nov 14, I can go back to Firefox.

I started to install Firefox 57 by following http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/inst...efox-linux but had second thoughts and decided to wait on the Linux Lite Team or Ubuntu.

Not a Support request, moved to On Topic.

Hi Coastie, FF usually appears in the Ubuntu repos within 5 days of any online announcement. It will turn up Smile

No problem mate Smile

A good example of where to post is if some software broke on your computer, you would then post in the Software Support section. This thread is a question about when something (Firefox) is coming next. It's a query, nothing is broken. Hope that helps.

Thanks. The above is a lot clearer to me than the descriptions on the index page.

I'm trying Firefox 57 and so far so good. It's fast, really fast. Pages load faster and it feels quite smoother. I've been using Opera for a while now and am happy with it, but FF 57 so far delivers a really nice browsing experience. I'll keep using it and see how it goes. Smile
Without each others help there ain't no hope for us Smile
