removal of individual items from main menu?
#1
I prefer using Gedit for all my HTML and CSS. So, i uninstalled Leafpad and removed it from the main menu. Problem is that after installing Gedit i can't see any link for it in the main menu. Can anyone help this old fool please.
Old and getting even older lol

Hello colin,

Menu>Settings>Main Menu

Right of GUI click "+ New Item" button, enter the name and browse to the launcher icon.
click OK, click Close.

I have Gedit in the panel/systemtray -
  • right click the panel, from the menu that appears -
  • Panel>Panel Preferences
  • from GUI click "Items" tab
  • right side of GUI press "+" button
  • look on list (or use search at the top)
  • click once to highlight
  • click "+ Add" button at the bottom of GUI
  • click close
  • click close on GUI
Short way less to look at/but also less familiarity is gained of the GUI -
  • right click panel
  • from the menu that appears
  • Panel>+ Add New Items
  • look on list (or use search at the top)
  • click once to highlight
  • click "+ Add" button at the bottom of GUI
  • click close
