They look nice, but i am now so used to the way linux lite looks that i would not use them. Havent changed anything as far as icons gos since i first installed linux lite.

Faenza doesn't seem to age, I quite agree.

We wouldn't go as far as using look-a-like Windows
We can do better. K.I.S.
Maybe you remember one of my first try at a wallpaper, windows v/s Linux Lite, you said to add it to social media, I didn't have then, but have just added it to G+, so people can share it on there or other ones they using.

I like the flat icon themes you showed in the pic Jerry, and I would love to see this included in the next version of Linux Lite. In fact one of the very few things I don't like about the default Linux Lite is that there aren't many choices for having different folders look a little different at first glance. I know I can add emblems to my folders individually, which I have already done, but there aren't many emblems to choose from and it's kinda hard to get a cohesive look that way.
Any icons resembling Windows would be IMHO a turnoff as a default setting, so I'm glad the ones Jerry showed are not similar to those. Reason being I was wanting to move AWAY from Microsoft when I moved to Linux, and I didn't want a default setting that looked like Microsoft. Yeah I know I can customize, but I wanted something that didn't look Microsoft-ish, right out of the box.
I'm currently using Arc-darker with GNOME icons, and I'm enjoying the look of it. Yes the Arc color looks a dark blue/purple/gray to me, but I actually like that as it's not a boring gray. Overall, my aim was to get a look that didn't look like Mac or Windows, and which looked more trendy/high-tech than either. I would have liked to use icons other than GNOME, but everything else either looked square in shape for panel icons (too distracting), or orange/purple in color (don't like) or black-and-white (too boring). So, the GNOME icons work fine for me but I'd love to switch to the flat icons Jerry showed. This is just my opinion, and I know that all of us might have very different opinions on this.
Using Linux Lite for everything now. I put it on my desktop and my laptop. Woohoo!

I would feel very honored to be of use to the community

They look pretty and clean. I like them. I think it is a pretty good move to adapt material styled theme for icons, keeping in view the users transitioning from Windows to LL, as they are pretty much used to see light and clean icons. Also, in my opinion, material style icons give LL a cozy and comfortable feel. Adapting material styled icons may also give new users a home like feel as people are usually pretty much used to seeing them on their smartphones. No offence to Faenza lovers, but I would really love to see this icon theme in LL.
I would also like to give a little suggestion. Maybe 9-dot-square-icon might look more meaningful and fit better in place of the xfce icon for xfce-menu. That way, even the text "menu" may be omitted, to give desktop a consistent and familiar look.
Cheers

Actually you can right-click on the Menu icon, select Properties, and choose Icons in place of Icons and Text.

I think I couldn't explain what I meant. My apologies.
It is true that we can easily change whether we want menu icon with text or not. But usually when presenting a product, here desktop, it is preferred to present it complying with general standards and trends, and later allow users the freedom to toggle. And as users migrating from Windows are used to seeing the Start Menu as an icon, and assuming menu icon is 9-dot-square to which users are usually pretty much used to, for opening main menu in android (say smartphone), the desktop may make them feel at home. My suggestion was according to keeping this view in mind.
Cheers

Flat icons in general are not my favorite but I'm fine going along with the majority choice and changing things after installation.
