Have modified Charlie Brej's 'dandelion' bootsplash, found here:

to exhibit a Linux Lite motif. Works even on my weakest machine.
Comments? Suggestions? Kill it before it multiplies?

For those that would like it, it's very good. Many people like OS animations & Windows 10 is certainly going in that direction with future released. Your desktop will be very 'active'. I'm afraid that one of the first posts I would make is how to disable it. If it could be disabled in Lite Tweaks, or via the help manual, It wouldn't bother me to see it in LL. It's just that I'm not a big fan of these sorts of things & it's usually the kind of things I disable right away in an OS. But Linux is all about choice, and that's what makes it so great.

Like Ottawagrant, I too disable the less agreeable aspects of any new OS installation. Some of them I replace with an alternative that I have found. Others I will endeavor to reverse engineer myself.
But as boot splashes go, you can be sure that Linux Lite will always present one that is 'simple and elegant', and boot splashes like this one will remain a third-party offering.

Ultimately, this boot splash will offer a choice of static background color, a color-cycled background, gradient (top, bottom, none), different text, and perhaps a transparent watermark bitmap or two. It will join the others on my website, and someday may even become available as a deb file.
