Google Earth LL3.2 64bit
#1
Just converting the HP desktop to LL3.2 64bit.
Desperately need Google Earth to work.  Had it working on LL2.8 32bit.
Have been faffing around for more than an hour trying various online suggestions - all to no avail.
Problem seem to hinge on lsb-core and  its other family; mta etc.

Appreciate that LL does not support this but need to find a way around the problem for work.
TIA

I have installed the 64 bit version just fine. Try this:

Terminal:

Code:
sudo apt-get install msttcorefonts
wget -O google-earth.sh http://drive.noobslab.com/data/apps/google-earth/google-earth.sh
chmod +x google-earth.sh
sudo ./google-earth.sh

After installation I created a Launcher on the desktop as usual. You can always start it from terminal with google-earth

Sorry for seeming stupid and preferring Linux - I just don't know any better.

ralphy ,you ARE a star !! Smile

Some slight sky pixelation, but will play around with settings - could be the inbuilt graphics card (11 years old desktop) is struggling.

But as they say "Good Enough".
Thank you very much.
