Have Lite Updates Notify set for reporting hourly.

Getting a screen pop-up on the hour every hour to install updates.

On checking updates.....System is up to date.

Good thing you mentioned it Jerry, which makes sense. I had the automatic notify turned off. The idea of a Beta is to test it. I hadn't given it much thought because it's the same as with the Beta for Linux Lite 3.2. I'm using it as a day-to-day machine to see if anything comes up. Installed it days ago & there's just nothing to tell. Xubuntu & Linux Lite seem to have the best Beta's.

So I ran the 32-bit Beta on the mini...

Install went without issue or error - even without a connection to the internet which was the only problem, I'll have to dig into but first...

So the mini is solely a LL3.2 machine.
Running the beta installer I was prompted to run along side 3.2  Big Grin
I chose something else; so I could partition the remaining free I had..

I choose all the defaults.. No to extras, no to updates..
As mentioned straight forward and easy...

Haven't gotten a chance to try anything more within due to NIC's issue described below..

Upon attempting to connect to WiFi would not finalize, entered SSID password network icon would begin to spin then system would hang and had to force a reboot. Tried hardwired which did not connect, link lights gave status... Running same kernel (4.4) in LL3.2, maybe something else?
WiFi was replicated in Live Environment...

I plan to double check the md5, recreate my USB and give another go...

LL4.8 UEFI 64 bit ASUS E402W - AMD E2 (Quad) 1.5Ghz  - 4GB - AMD Mullins Radeon R2
LL5.8 UEFI 64 bit Test UEFI Kangaroo (Mobile Desktop) - Atom X5-Z8500 1.44Ghz - 2GB - Intel HD Graphics
LL4.8 64 bit HP 6005- AMD Phenom II X2 - 8GB - AMD/ATI RS880 (HD4200)
LL3.8 32 bit Dell Inspiron Mini - Atom N270 1.6Ghz - 1GB - Intel Mobile 945GSE Express  -- Shelved
BACK LL5.8 64 bit Dell Optiplex 160 (Thin) - Atom 230 1.6Ghz - 4GB-SiS 771/671 PCIE VGA - Print Server
Running Linux Lite since LL2.2

So MD5 checked out - redid the USB.. In the LIVE after entering the WiFi password, system locked up. The same occurred within the installer and after install. Until driver is updated - this is a usb adapter rtl8192cu.. Something to be aware of as other beta/finals never "locked"/"froze" up.

For 3.4 - pretty slick.
Window Snapping worked well (gimp was only app that didn't snap)
Hibernate worked right off; no errors or blank screens when waking. Power Manger set for closing lid.
Welcome Screen used for all but a restore point thus far...
Update Notifier set - waiting for the 1st notice...

The following worked to update the WiFi:

[member=5414]firenice03[/member], individual driver issues cannot be addressed. If we committed to this, I can't begin to imagine the workload it would create Sad All the same, your info will help others.
Would love to hear more on window snapping to ensure we have covered everything we need to in that area. [member=5239]torreydale[/member], have we covered everything in regards to window snapping etc?

I haven't tested the 3.4 beta yet.  To make window snapping work, I just change the two settings I mentioned in Window Manager and Window Manager Tweaks.  That tends to work for me.  If they're embedded changes as part of 3.4, I assume it should work the same as when I manually make the changes.

GIMP is such a large window, I don't think it tends to snap regardless.  I don't think it even snapped in another distribution with snapping enabled by default like Mint Cinnamon.

I'm happy to see the change added.  I think it'll be a welcomed addition.

I've been playing with this. These are my settings for tiling and snapping to work properly.
