How to add software startup delay
#1
I believe i need to add a startup delay of 5 or 10 seconds to a program which is already in application autostart.
In session and startup i am unable to edit any item as the edit button does not appear to function for any of the applications listed when selected.
The application is livewallpaper and when it starts it is quickly replaced by the selected wallpaper in Desktop and only appears after a stop and restart of the application.

Hi.

This might not be the most elegant solution but...

open a terminal: ctrl+alt t
enter:
Code:
gksudo xfce4-session-settings
enter your password
now you should be able to edit the entries

Thanks for that it did allow editing in application autostart however adding sleep 10; to the command did not delay startup as i expected it too. Any ideas ?

This is the start up delay command for Lite Widget, some of the syntax may help you:

Code:
bash -c "sleep 5; ~/.conky/start"

Still no luck so have uninstalled application as its a small price to pay to continue with Lite.
