LibreOffice crashes
#1
The LibreOffice version that comes with LL 3.0 64bit is very buggy.
Writer crashes often when copy and pasting text or images. It happens on my wifes laptop Dell Latitude E5400 and mine E4300.
What can be the couse of this?

I've made the switch to Abiword/Gnumeric and Dia. No alternative found for Impress yet.

I would try upgrading to LO 5.2.2.2. There have been a lot of bug fixes. Uninstalling the previous version usually isn't necessary, but it could be a good idea. Also, you could try renaming your user profile, at <user>/.config/libreoffice. OpenGL rendering has been a problem on some machines, so you could also try disabling it.

Thank you Paul for your response.
I'm happy with Abiword but my wife needs a full blown office suite to do her work.
I will try the upgrade and profile fix.

Renaming the LO profile forces it to create a fresh one. You'll find the OpenGL option at tools/options/view. Hope it goes well.

Thanks!
In LO 5.2.2.2 OpenGL is disabled by default.
So far with 5.2.2.2 we have no crashes.
