Kernel update error Linux Lite 3.0

I installed  Linux Lite 3.0 yesterday. it updated good for the first few times. Then got a message
couldn't fetch the package cache  then another message. with the fix below.

Code:

One of my questions is, Do I have other problems with the updater that need to be addressed?

I was able to get an update. As far as I can determine the updater is fixed event though there was an error that I don't understand.
