#1
Hello,

I have installed Kernel 3.15 RC8 and installed was good. After reboot Lite won't started.
This kernel was well working in Xubuntu 14.04.

Why specifically did you need this build of the kernel?

I was testing of my PC this kernel can run in Lite 2.0.

In Xubuntu with NVIDIA its works fine and so i try.

If you don't need it and everything was functioning before, you have no reason to install it. I would remove.

Strange but today kernel 3.15 is out and it works.

After 2 times of booting and 1 problem, INVALID MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1 KEY.
I solved it with the follow commands :
sudo apt-get install --reinstall xorg
sudo rm /home/username/.XAuthority*
sudo rm /opt/.X0-lock

Then restart and it works.

Hello!

sudo rn /opt/.X0-lock

is that supposed to be 'rn' or 'rm'?

In the interest of preserving stability, I don't see myself updating the kernel unless Valtam pushes out security updates. However, what you shared is good knowledge for anyone who might want to...

Stability is paramount here, as you can see from the initial example when you apply bleeding edge to stable, things can go kaput.
