Perform a complete reinstall/HDD wipe without boot USB?
#1
I am going to sell a machine with LL installed on it and would prefer to nuke the HDD and perform a reinstall before selling, and I was wondering if it could be done without performing the normal new install procedure using a bootable USB, etc.

Can I perform a reinstall/"factory reset" using the command prompt or some other method? Thank you in advance!

You can probably get to the restore partition for a factory reset, of the original OS...
As far as I know you need to start over with a fresh install from a liveusb...
Unless you used systemback and made a restore point from then that you could restore to..

Not sure of your set up... if you dual boot, but if you do.. Wipe windows, delete or restore to default.. Reinstall LL
Most importantly removing your data/formating the drive..

Thanks.

No, I don't dual boot or want the original OS so I guess I'll just make a new bootable USB and do it from scratch again.
