Thunar shortcuts cannot be removed
#1
I have not found a topic yet here similar to this issue so here it goes-

In Thunar file manager, on the left pane I added to "places", 5 network shared folders or "shortcuts".
(screenshot is missing folder #1 from trying to remove)
These folders are no longer in use since i have reconfigured my home server.
-I right click and "remove shortcut" and they go away, until the next boot where they reappear.
-I have tried not saving session, disconnected from network and they remain after every boot.
Here is a screenshot-  [Image: Screenshot_09222015_02_09_44_PM.jpg]

Anyone come accross this before ? any suggestions ? I will keep googling......(I'm only finding how to add)

Shot in the dark...have you removed the folder the shortcut points to in addition to the shortcut?

Hi technomancer,

These entries are saved in the file ~/.config/gtk-3.0/bookmarks

After making a backup:
Code:
cp ~/.config/gtk-3.0/bookmarks ~/.config/gtk-3.0/bookmarks.ori

you can edit the file:
Code:
leafpad ~/.config/gtk-3.0/bookmarks

Changes show up immediately in Thunar as soon as you save them. I never had them reappear after a reboot.

Hope that helps Smile

****I have figured out how to remove shortcuts from left pane "places" in thunar.
Here is how-
1. Open file manager/thunar,
2. Right click on "places".
A menu opens and you can un-check which ones you wish to remove/hide.
I tried a screen-shot but it loses focus everytime.

@technomancer...
Did you mean this.?,
I used a delay of 10secs in screenshot to give me time for menus to appear when right clicking/navigating.

Yes that is what I meant. I will use the delay next time, right over my head LOL.
