There is NO support for upgrades yet. People, please be extremely careful and research something before you post help to others.

That is one of the best things about Linux most of the time you can just download the newer versions and try in a live cd/dvd just burn and try to see if you like it.  Smile

Hello!

I have used the scripts posted in the forums to upgrade a number of machines from 2.0 to 2.2 with no issues. Is there something concerning using them that I need to watch out for?

Hi Rob. There was only a early beta version of the release upgrade script. I think Jerry said that. I've been working hard, whenever there was free time on getting this ready for LL 2.4. A few days left. It will be a race against the clock.

Lite Upgrade is considered 'developmental' that's why there is NO official support for upgrades yet in the form of a package or fully compatible procedure across the LL 2.x series. As misko said, this is a race against the clock before the April 1st release of 2.4 It will only be released once I'm happy with the quality of the software which so far with misko's awesome efforts to date, are right on target.

Adding the ability to Upgrade from one version to the next would certanly be a plus and a huge step in to winning thousands of new followers most people i talk about OS´s they almos immediatly reject LINUX in general due to little issues like this, and confusion in regards to frugal instalations, diferent distros, kernels, etc, In most cases I blame THEM for not making an effort to learn, however most regular joe´s want simplicity,  and this request would certanly add simplicity to the migration process....my 2 cents

We are doing our best that we can with a very small team. We are improving all the features to make it as simple as possible for the users to migrate. This distro is still young but it's evolving quickly with the help from the community.
