I was just reading the "reader ratings" on the Distrowatch-dot-com web site, where one person writes down:
"...Linux Lite 4.8 is a Labyrinth of incomprehensibility. Perhaps computer Geeks can understand some of it? Quite unable to find Synaptic Package Manager or the equivalent of it..."
Sheeesh! Sometimes humans are soo stupid!
Pathological tweaker.

"Apparently, simply typing synaptic into the Menu requires a 180+ I.Q"
Must not be a Windows refugee. Jeez, LL is built for Windows users. There is no synaptic in Windows as far as I know. Hmmmm... there is no synaptic in wayland either. Maybe there is no synaptic in anything that starts with W. Good grief it's disappearing one letter at a time.

I read the same thing and was perplexed when the writer commented, "Install/Remove Software" is completely unresponsive," immediately after commenting, "Quite unable to find Synaptic Package Manager or the equivalent of it."
They gave the distro 1 out of 10 stars of course. On the question of whether their review was helpful, I voted "No."

I tried the lite upgrade and it says I am at the latest 4.6. So is there a time period I must wait before I can upgrade or is there something else I must do? Thanks

Last day to enter the competition for some LL Swag. No one has guessed exactly the two critical elements so at this stage it looks like we have several in the draw.

OEMs could now brand Windows wallpaper and modify colors and lightness. One I remember was Digital, and I think Compaq.
